Welcome

It is proven that skipping improves balance, coordination, agility and as it uses both sides of the brain it helps the children to be more mentally alert. Skipping is an activity that can be practised individually but can also encourage children to work together as a team whilst performing partnership skills or playing games in longer ropes in larger groups. We have found over the years that our skipping sessions have not only had a positive impact at the time but have encouraged the children to practise their learnt skills on the playground in the following weeks and months. The skipping skills have also cascaded around the playground so children who may have not been involved in the actual session also begin to skip. We have heard on many occasions from teachers in conversations after our visits that the school has gone "Skipping mad".
